Lead Quality Engineer

Position: Quality Engineering Lead

Onsite Requirements: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Hours: 6pm-3am local time

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring QA/QE teams

• Experience working with modern development technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered testing tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions

Insight Global's client is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to join its growing engineering organization. This individual will combine technical leadership with hands-on expertise in test automation, modern software development practices, and AI-driven testing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping testing strategies, driving quality initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement

• Design, implement, and scale automated testing frameworks using Playwright

• Partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle

• Champion the adoption of AI-powered testing tools and innovative quality engineering practices

• Support the delivery of complex software solutions while promoting operational excellence

• Drive test strategy, execution, and continuous process improvements across multiple projects

• Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with distributed teams
