Join a technically driven Geotechnical Group that supports complex and meaningful infrastructure, transport, aviation, energy, water and resources projects, where technical excellence, sound engineering judgement and collaboration sit at the core of everything we do.

Our Geotechnical Group is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership and delivery support across a diverse portfolio of projects including transportation, airports, bridges, ports, water, energy, resources and other major infrastructure.

In this role, you will take ownership of geotechnical technical outcomes, lead investigations and designs, mentor and grow geotechnical capability, and support project delivery in accordance with international regulatory requirements and recognised industry best practice.

  • Provide technical leadership for geotechnical investigations including planning, supervision and interpretation of field and laboratory works (e.g. boreholes, CPT, trial pits, laboratory testing)

  • Lead geotechnical assessment and design for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, pavement subgrades and ground improvement systems

  • Prepare, review and technically sign‑off geotechnical interpretative reports (GIRs), design reports and supporting calculations in line with project and GHD quality requirements

  • Act as a key geotechnical advisor during concept and detailed design, construction support and site activities

  • Provide technical oversight and review of outputs from subconsultants, contractors and testing laboratories

  • Apply sound engineering judgement to develop practical, constructible and risk‑based solutions, in collaboration with Project Managers, Discipline Leaders and other specialists

  • Support proposal development including scope definition, geotechnical methodologies, risk identification and fee estimates

  • Coach, guide and technically mentor junior geotechnical engineers, contributing to capability building within the Geotechnical Group

  • Coordinate and manage delegated team tasks, ensuring delivery to agreed quality,programme and budget targets

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Geotechnical Engineering (postgraduate qualification is an advantage)

  • Licensed Civil Engineer in the Philippines (required)

  • Recognised professional geotechnical qualification is desirable

Experience

  • Typically 10-15 years of professional geotechnical engineering experience, with demonstrated delivery of infrastructure projects

  • Strong experience in geotechnical investigation planning, interpretation and detailed design

  • Experience in transport, airport, bridge, water, energy or major infrastructure projects is highly regarded

  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and review as part of a geotechnical leadership role

  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and engineering judgement skills

  • High‑quality technical report writing, review and client‑facing communication capability

  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis tools and strong working knowledge of Excel and Geotechnical softwares.

  • Working knowledge of applicable local and international standards (e.g. DPWH, NSCP, AASHTO, ASTM, FAA or equivalent)

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi‑disciplinary teams and engage confidently with clients and stakeholders
