Amentum is seeking a Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher to support a unique US Navy program on
the island of Diego Garcia. The Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher is responsible for supervising
the daily operations of the Fire Alarm Dispatch Center while ensuring timely, accurate, and
eƯective emergency communications in support of Fire and Emergency Services. This
position provides leadership to dispatch personnel, oversees alarm monitoring and
emergency call processing, ensures compliance with established operating procedures,
and coordinates emergency response communication.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote

industrial, warehouse, port, airfi eld, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to
high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work
schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on
operational requirements.

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs and
working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical,
security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas
location.

- Supervise, mentor, and provide daily oversight of Fire Alarm Dispatch personnel.
- Ensure dispatch personnel are properly trained and perform duties in accordance

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a lead dispatcher or emergency
organization.
- Certification as Telecommunications Operator I and II and Hazardous Materials
- Demonstrated knowledge of fi re service operations, emergency medical dispatch,
- Experience operating Computer Aided Dispatch systems, radio communications
- Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
- Ability to obtain country-specifi c visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Must read,

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United
- Valid country driver's license
- Experience supporting government, military, or Department of Defense emergency
- Experience managing an emergency communications center or fi re dispatch
