Lead ERP Functional Consultant (Finance)

The Workday Team Leader manages a team of software engineers delivering and supporting Workday Financials, Reporting, PSA, and Adaptive Planning. The role ensures a strong, highperforming engineering team and partners with product leaders on application strategy and daily priorities.

They provide technical leadership by guiding development practices, supporting engineering decisions, and promoting technical excellence.

Workday experience is preferred, but strong backgrounds in other ERPsespecially in core finance, revenue management, and project accountingare also ideal for this role. Experience with cloud ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or NetSuite, including endtoend implementation work (design, configuration, testing, cutover, hypercare), is a plus.

What will you do

• Lead and develop a highperforming engineering team, fostering technical excellence, quality delivery, and continuous learning.
• Provide technical direction on solution design, problemsolving, and the application of modern engineering best practices.
• Ensure consistent use of standards, design patterns, and tools aligned with Aurecon's enterprise architecture.
• Oversee code quality, performance, and maintainability, ensuring strong peer review and disciplined development workflows.
• Guide engineers through complex technical challenges and drive adoption of scalable, contemporary engineering approaches.
• Coach and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews, capability assessments, and career development discussions.
• Partner with product leaders to plan resourcing, align on priorities, and maintain strong team engagement and morale.
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues with thorough rootcause analysis and sustainable longterm fixes.

You will also need the following capabilities:

Qualifications (Required)

• 3+ years experience in Team Lead / Technical Lead / People Manager roles specialized in Workday operations, support and development
• Workday experience is highly desirable; however, strong candidates with backgrounds in other cloud ERP/SaaS platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, etc.) are also ideal for this role
• Proven experience leading or playing a major role in fullcycle ERP implementations, including design, configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare
