About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead IC Layout Designer to drive the successful implementation and delivery of top-level integrated circuit layouts for advanced semiconductor products. In this role, you will work closely with design engineers, layout designers, project managers, assembly engineers, and cross-functional global teams to ensure high-quality, manufacturable silicon solutions.

As a technical leader, you will own chip-level layout integration, tapeout activities, package selection support, and bonding diagram development. You will also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers, guide layout best practices, and contribute to continuous improvements within the layout organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and execute top/chip-level IC layout activities for new product development projects.
  • Collaborate with schematic designers, block layout engineers, assembly engineers, and project stakeholders to meet design, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Manage layout deliverables and drive successful project execution through tapeout.
  • Perform and coordinate tapeout activities with foundry partners.
  • Support package selection reviews and package-related design verification.
  • Develop bonding diagrams for target package solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with layout methodologies, reliability requirements, and design rules.
  • Mentor new hires, junior designers, and interns.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and other layout team development programs.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of IC layout design experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Extensive experience in top-level or chip-level layout integration.
  • Solid understanding of tapeout processes and design verification methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, device construction, and layout fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of IC reliability concepts and failure mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso XL and Calibre verification tools.
  • Experience in layout design for:
  • ADCs
  • DACs
  • High-voltage applications
  • Familiarity with semiconductor technology nodes such as:
  • 0.18μm
  • 40nm
  • Experience with programming, scripting, automation, or AI-enabled design tools.

Why Join Us

  • Work on innovative mixed-signal and high-performance semiconductor products.
  • Collaborate with world-class engineering teams across multiple regions.
  • Influence critical design decisions from layout development through tapeout.
  • Grow your technical leadership skills while mentoring emerging talent.
  • Contribute to technologies that power industrial, automotive, communications, and consumer applications worldwide.
