Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software engineering, application development, cloud engineering, or production support
- Strong hands-on experience administering and optimizing Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Networking, Storage, and related cloud technologies
- Solid software development experience using Python, along with experience building modern applications using TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks
- Proven experience implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Docker, Git/source control, and deployment automation
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications in Azure environments
- Strong understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework, cloud security principles, identity management, and security-by-design practices
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent, including optimization and performance tuning
- Experience troubleshooting production applications, resolving Azure infrastructure issues, and improving application reliability
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and secure cloud integrations
- Experience working within Agile software development environments
- Strong leadership, communication, technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across engineering and business teams
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting financial services, FinTech, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with disaster recovery, compliance, governance, and data protection standards
- Microsoft Azure Certifications
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure while troubleshooting application, Azure, and database issues
- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management
- Optimize database performance, security, integrity, and overall system efficiency
- Deploy software updates, security patches, and continuous platform improvements
- Document system enhancements, configurations, deployment procedures, and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance on Azure, software development, and DevOps initiatives
- Support security reviews, compliance, system audits, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning
