Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Taguig for a Lead Automation Tester specializing in Selenium and Appium. The Lead Automation Tester will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistent test coverage across critical functionalities. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing test strategies, reviewing and creating test cases, performing both manual and automated testing, and collaborating closely with development, product, and QA teams to identify, document, and track defects. The role involves guiding and mentoring other testers, implementing best practices for quality assurance, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards.

Qualifications

Must have a background in Agile and very familiar with STLC.
Must have a strong background with Playwright, Selenium, and Appium.
Must have experience leading a group of QA's.
Strong Quality Assurance skills, including understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and creating detailed, reusable Test Cases for web and mobile applications.
Proficiency in API Testing, including use of tools such as Postman or similar, and understanding of RESTful services.
Advanced Automation skills, particularly in creating and maintaining test scripts using Selenium and Appium.
Experience leading or mentoring QA and test automation teams, with the ability to coordinate testing activities across projects.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and performance.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site in Taguig.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is beneficial.
