JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead AI Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions while managing a small team of junior AI developers. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership, guiding junior team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of AI and machine learning projects.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development, and is passionate about building scalable AI solutions while mentoring junior developers. You will collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into impactful AI-driven applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Leadership & Development
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning models and applications.
- Architect scalable AI solutions that can be integrated into existing systems or platforms.
- Oversee the full AI development lifecycle including data preparation, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and best practices are followed by the development team.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Manage and mentor junior AI developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
- Support junior developers in implementing machine learning algorithms and AI models.
- Help build the technical capabilities of the AI team through knowledge sharing and coaching.
Project & Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to understand business requirements.
- Translate business problems into AI-driven technical solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet performance and quality standards.
Model Optimization & Innovation
- Oversee model training, testing, evaluation, and performance tuning.
- Identify opportunities to improve model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 58+ years of experience in software development with strong exposure to AI/ML projects.
- Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with data processing, model training, evaluation, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience mentoring or leading junior developers is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
