Key Responsibilities
CAD Design & Product Development
- Prepare production drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
- Design and create prototypes, product samples, and demonstration pieces
- Modify and optimize customer artwork and technical drawings for production
Laser Equipment Operation
- Set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting and laser engraving equipment
- Perform machine calibration and parameter adjustments for different materials
- Conduct testing and quality inspection on completed products
Product Applications & Innovation
- Develop new applications and product ideas using laser technology
- Produce marketing and demonstration samples for customer presentations
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams on product development initiatives
- Contribute innovative ideas for new products and applications
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance on machine settings and production parameters
- Assist customers with material selection and application requirements
- Support product demonstrations and training sessions when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related disciplines
- Experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software
- Experience operating laser cutting, laser engraving, CNC, or fabrication equipment preferred
- Strong hands-on technical aptitude
- Interest in product development, prototyping, and fabrication
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in the following will have an advantage:
