QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a graduate ofBS or MS in Chemistry
- Licensed Chemist
- 58 yearsof experience managing laboratory operations inFood, Environmental, or Hardlinessectors
- Proven experience in coordinatingcross-functional teams, includingQA/QC, R&D, Production, Safety, and Regulatory
- Strong background inoperations and administration, including:
- Budgeting and resource planning
- Scheduling and long-range capacity planning
- Vendor management and coordination with internal stakeholders
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operational Leadership & Compliance
- Partner with Tower Leads to ensure effective execution of operational processes, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the end-to-end laboratory workflowfrom test request intake to final report deliveryensuring alignment with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Enforce adherence to good laboratory practices (GLP), safety protocols, and housekeeping standards.
2. Financial & Business Management
- Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) of assigned business lines to maintain profitability and cost efficiency.
- Approve and monitor inventory levels and capital expenditures, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Support business development initiatives by conducting project assessments, feasibility studies, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing to meet revenue targets.
3. People Leadership & Development
- Lead, manage, and support laboratory teams to ensure high levels of productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and facilitate appropriate training and development programs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
4. Customer Engagement & Technical Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support, resolving client issues and addressing service requirements.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships through consistent delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely services.
- Conduct technical training sessions and company presentations for clients as needed.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Monitor laboratory performance metrics and operational outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes; ensure best practices are adopted and shared across teams.
- Lead operational excellence and quality improvement initiatives to enhance turnaround time, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
6. Strategic Planning & Vision
- Develop and implement strategic goals and long-term plans for laboratory operations and growth.
- Ensure that operational strategies are aligned with the broader business objectives to drive sustainable success.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Managing Director, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
