Job Summary
The HR Labor Relations Officer is responsible for maintaining positive employee and labor union relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, handling employee grievances, supporting disciplinary processes, and promoting a harmonious work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR representative in labor-management relations and union-related concerns.
- Assist in collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration and implementation.
- Handle employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary cases in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
- Conduct administrative investigations and prepare documentation for disciplinary actions.
- Represent the company during labor-management meetings and coordinate with union officers.
- Ensure compliance with the Philippine Labor Code and other employment regulations.
- Prepare notices, memoranda, incident reports, and other employee relations documents.
- Coordinate with government agencies such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) when necessary.
- Conduct employee orientation, policy awareness, and labor law training.
- Monitor employee engagement activities and recommend initiatives to improve workplace relations.
- Maintain confidential employee relations records and case files.
- Advise management on labor relations issues and recommend appropriate actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in Employee Relations or Labor Relations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in handling labor union concerns and collective bargaining agreements is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code, DOLE regulations, and labor relations practices.
- Experience in conducting administrative investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
