Role Overview

The Labor Relations Lawyer will provide legal support on employee relations, labor compliance, and dispute resolution. The role ensures that all HR and business actions are aligned with Philippine labor laws, company policies, and governance standards, while mitigating legal and reputational risks to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on labor and employment matters, including disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee grievances
  • Handle and represent the company in labor cases before the National Labor Relations Commission, Department of Labor and Employment, and other quasi-judicial bodies
  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as Notices to Explain (NTEs), administrative decisions, position papers, and pleadings
  • Conduct administrative investigations and ensure due process compliance in disciplinary cases
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to ensure consistent application of company policies and labor standards
  • Monitor developments in Philippine labor laws and jurisprudence; provide timely advisories and risk assessments
  • Support negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution strategies to protect company interests
  • Conduct training and capability-building sessions for HR and line managers on labor relations and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB or JD); must be a member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
  • At 5-10 years of relevant experience in labor law, employee relations, or litigation
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine labor laws, due process requirements, and case handling
  • Experience in handling labor cases and interfacing with government agencies (e.g., NLRC, DOLE)
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment

Work Arrangement

  • Must be willing to report 100% onsite in BGC (Taguig City)
