Schedule: 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM PHT (5 hours a day; 25 hours a week)
What are we looking for
We are seeking a hands-on, client-focused L3 System Engineer with deep Microsoft expertise to join a Managed Services Provider environment. This role goes well beyond routine support. You will own escalations, design solutions, and serve as a trusted technical resource for SMB clients. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and leadership to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize IT environments, and drive continuous improvement. This is a strong fit for someone who brings senior-level technical depth and the communication skills to match.
Experience
Skills Required:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on IT experience for L2 consideration; 5+ years for L3
- Strong background in MSP or client-facing IT environments
- Proven track record handling escalations and complex multi-system troubleshooting
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
- Windows Server (2012 through 2022+) and desktop environments
- Active Directory and identity management
- Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs
- Virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
- RMM tools such as Kaseya or NinjaOne, and PSA systems such as Autotask or ConnectWise
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: MS-900, AZ-104, or MS-102
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Cisco CCNA is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hybrid environments and cloud migrations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and broader Microsoft security tooling
- Exposure to compliance frameworks relevant to SMB clients
- Prior experience in a client-facing senior technical role within an MSP

What will you do
Technical Support and Escalations
- Serve as the primary escalation point for L2/L3 issues across endpoints, servers, and cloud environments
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents via remote tools and on-site support when required
- Ensure timely ticket resolution in alignment with SLAs and client expectations
Microsoft and Cloud Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Manage Azure environments including virtual machines, Active Directory, and networking
- Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File and Print services
Infrastructure and Systems Engineering
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, workstations, and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions including Datto, Veeam, and similar platforms
- Design and implement scalable IT solutions tailored to SMB client environments
Networking and Security
- Configure and support firewalls, switches, and VPNs including SonicWall, Fortinet, and Cisco
- Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, patching schedules, and security standards
- Conduct system and network assessments to identify risks and recommend improvements
Projects and Client Engagement
- Lead or support client onboarding, migrations, and infrastructure projects from scoping through delivery
- Participate in pre-sales technical discussions, solution design, and client consultations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and follow-through
Documentation and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
- Recommend improvements to tools, workflows, and security practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and developments within the Microsoft ecosystem
