Responsibilities: Define the System or Network architecture and implement it using the best IT practices.
Monitor the IT infrastructure (Servers, storage, network, etc.) and application using different monitoring tools.
Manage incident/request assigned to the L3 support team.
Engage in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
Document customers and problem information in the ticketing system and close tickets with resolution entered upon completion of the job.
Verify suggested solutions, and effectively resolve the customer's issues through verbal or email follow up
Do project management.
Write documentation
Be on-call if an escalation is needed during the night and weekend.
Possible business trip to implement infrastructure on premise as needed.
Keep knowledgeable of methods, techniques and skills required in the job and related functions,
Other similar ad hoc tasks.
Required Skills: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / College Degree, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years work experience as System & Network engineer preferably in an ITO/MSP environment
Current or previous experience in an L3 role
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Must be self-motivated, committed, and willing to learn
Must be a true team player with a commitment to success
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing system environments.
Independent, mature and well-organized
Amenable to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
Strong Experience in installing, trouble shooting and maintaining:
Windows server (2003,2008,2012,2016)
Unix/Linux environment as well as other open-source applications Virtualization technology (VMWARE, HYPER V, Open stack)
Cloud solution (AWS, AZURE, Gcloud)
Database (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgresql)
Experience in managing vendors (ISP, Hardware vendor)
Strong experience in LAN/WAN (router, switches, firewall, load balancer, etc.)
Strong experience in security
Experience in ITIL and project management
Any of the following certifications is an advantage: Microsoft MCDBA, MCSE, MCP, Cisco CCNA, ITIL v3 certification is an advantage.
Amenable to work in Alabang on a hybrid set-up
