L2 Operations Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced L2 Operations Lead to provide strong technical and operational leadership for TSYS‑based payment processing systems. This role is critical in ensuring production stability, proactive risk mitigation, and effective vendor governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority to review and challenge TSYS‑proposed solutions.
• Assess solution design for performance, scalability, resilience, and operational readiness.
• Identify gaps, delays, and inconsistencies in vendor responses; drive timely resolution.
• Lead incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution within defined SLAs.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for coordination with TSYS and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Provide hands‑on leadership during production and operational calls.
• Drive proactive risk mitigation (e.g., RC91, performance bottlenecks).
• Bridge the gap between ticket management and deep technical analysis.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in TSYS platforms (TS2/Prime) or equivalent card/payment processing systems.
• Strong knowledge of payments domain (cards, issuing, acquiring).
• Expertise in payments architecture (authorization, clearing, settlement).
• Proven experience in production support (L2/L3), incident management, and vendor governance.
• Hands‑on with SQL, ISO 8583 message formats, Unix/Linux commands, Oracle/DB2 databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in high‑pressure, 24x7 support environments.
