We are seeking an L2 Application Support Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in supporting web-based applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PHP and SQL, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze and resolve application issues while working closely with development and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for PHP-based web applications.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues reported by users.
- Analyze application logs and identify root causes of incidents.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Perform data corrections and database updates when required.
- Escalate complex issues to the development team with complete technical analysis.
- Monitor application health and system performance.
- Support deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and knowledge base articles.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Participate in on-call or shift support when required.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in Application Support or Technical Support.
- Experience supporting applications developed in PHP.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE).
- Experience troubleshooting application and database-related issues.
- Familiarity with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience using Linux/Unix command line is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter.
- Basic understanding of Apache or Nginx web servers.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk.
