Overview
A Kitchen staff aids in the preparation of food and are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, workstations, food and ingredients and food storage facilities. He/she performs all the cleaning, washing, and preparation duties required in kitchens. They assist cooks and kitchen supervisors with all tasks necessary to ensure that kitchen operation runs smoothly.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware and utensils. Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and other dishes.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation area before using it. Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to the established standards of hygiene.
- Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, washing, and peeling of fruits, vegetables, meats and other ingredients.
- Follow all food health and safety protocols.
- Sweeping and mapping floors as required.
- Assisting in the preparation of goods for delivery and unloading of delivered goods as needed and as necessary
- Stores ingredients according to prescribed food safety regulation.
- Assisting in inventory of stocks (if needed and necessary).
- Reporting faulty or damaged equipment in the kitchen as soon as possible.
- Cleaning of trash bins and disposing refuse on a regular basis.
- Communicate kitchen needs to the manager for immediate action.
- Promptly transferring production ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen per instruction.
- Double checks requested materials versus the actual deliveries. Double checks delivery receipts/sales invoice versus actual item received.
- Reports critical items to their Team Leader for immediate resolution.
- Reports machine conditions and recommends necessary maintenance and repairs.
- In charge of packing all produced items from kitchen production.
- Special Task: Handles the beverage production following the instruction provided by the manager.
- Reports and records spoilage and scraps to the Manager.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

- At least two (2) years work experience in the same role, in the same capacity
- Proven experience in kitchen assistance
- Understands food safety practices
- Ability to multi-task and manage requests on a timely manner
