Category Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end performance of the Bills Payments category and be accountable for delivering business growth in line with the Digital Products roadmap.
  • Develop and execute category strategies focused on increasing transaction volume, customer adoption, revenue, and overall profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance through pricing, promotional mechanics, operational efficiencies, and new product initiatives.

Business Development & Partner Management

  • Manage strategic relationships with biller aggregators, billers, and other key partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the category through new merchant acquisitions and partnerships supported by well-developed business cases.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract reviews, project implementation, and partner launches.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless execution.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Monitor category and partner performance against key business metrics.
  • Analyze raw performance data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend strategic actions or pivots.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners, including performance reporting, forecasting, and growth planning.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize partner performance and improve customer experience.

Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct competitor and market analyses to identify emerging trends, promotional opportunities, and areas for business improvement.
  • Conceptualize, execute, and evaluate growth initiatives and promotional campaigns that drive customer engagement and business performance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on market insights and data-driven analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to successfully execute business initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery of launches and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Business Development, Category Management, Key Account Management, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in bills payment, biller management, aggregators, ISVs, fintech, or digital payments is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and build sound business cases.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
