Job Description
Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for achieving consistent increase sales including business development by ensuring that all available products are listed in each account.
Ensure that all products appear in the store and are displayed properly, at the appropriate time and in the correct quantities. This involves working closely with buyers to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.
Ensure that all trade outlets are with prominent displays and sufficient stocks. Further ensure that all merchandisers are aware of all stores promotions and protocols required to maintain display and stocks.
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management :
- Negotiate discounts, promotional support, prices, quantities of orders and delivery time-scales.
- Introduction and listing new and promotional items.
- Updating of buyers latest product price list.
- Development of business through listing and inclusion of new Brands.
- Conduct regular stores visits to check if display is within the standard facing.
- Coordinate and negotiate with store supervisor for better product display and placement
- Monitoring of on-going promotions and competitor activities.
- Monitoring and Analysis of product price position in the selling area by maintaining an updated price event.
Ordering and Goods Return Management
- Make suggestion to buyer regarding order quantity to ensure that there is sufficient stock particularly for those fast moving articles
- Monitor Stock level ( critical and over stock ) to ensure sufficient stocks in both Warehouse and selling area.
- Ensure that stocks are safely kept in the warehouse and that all are constantly being moved out to store and selling areas to avoid returns due to damage and expired items.
Collection :
- Schedule Invoice countering and collection.
- Discuss with buyers concerns regarding payments, overdue accounts and discrepancy.
