The Key Accounts Manager will lead and develop a team of Key Accounts Specialists. This role is responsible for strengthening relationships with high-value clients, creating and executing programs to increase purchase orders, and driving long-term growth across key accounts. It combines leadership, strategic planning, and direct client engagement to ensure exceptional service and sustainable revenue growth.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Key Accounts Specialists to ensure effective client management
- Set performance targets and KPIs for the team and monitor progress regularly
- Facilitate collaboration, coaching, and continuous improvement within the team
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major clients
- Understand clients business goals and challenges to offer tailored solutions
- Act as the escalation point for client concerns or issues, ensuring swift resolution
- Identify opportunities to increase purchase volume across key accounts
- Design and implement incentive programs, loyalty campaigns, and sales initiatives that drive client engagement and order growth
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to create offers that resonate with key buyers
- Analyze account performance, trends, and buyer behavior to inform strategy
- Prepare regular reports on team performance, client activity, and growth outcomes
- Use data insights to refine and optimize account strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Accounting, or any related business course
- At least 3–5 years of experience in Sales Administration, Sales Support, or related administrative roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail in handling sales and inventory data
- Excellent communication skills, particularly for phone-based coordination with accounts and field teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic sales data consolidation
- Familiarity with sales reports, inventory monitoring, and retail data entry systems is an advantage
