We are seeking a motivated, positive, and detail-oriented Junior Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support our client's Tax Department in delivering high-quality tax compliance services.

You will be responsible for preparing and reconciling workpapers, assisting with account reconciliations, and preparing Australian Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns in accordance with Australian taxation legislation.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM (PH Time)
  • Work setup: Onsite
  • Salary range: PHP 35,000 - 50,000

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare tax returns, BAS, IAS, and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts
  • Support the team with client queries and compliance matters for tax consulting matters
  • Assist with tax administration matters
  • Perform high-level bookkeeping and prepare monthly management accounts and BAS lodgments.
  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate on process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in our practice systems

We're Looking for Someone Who has: 

  • Ideally 1-2 years experience in business services and tax within public practice preparing financial statements and income tax returns
  • Exposure to individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts structures
  • Familiarity with tax topics such as CGT, Division 7A, entity structures and general tax compliance
  • The person is keen to learn and serve in all the fields of tax administration
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent work ethic and has a proactive and team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow processes with ongoing mentoring and support from your manager
  • Generally able to work independently through tasks until completion.
  • A friendly, committed, and flexible attitude

Technical Skills:

  • Able to use Microsoft Products (Word and Excel)
  • MYOB and/or Xero experience preferred (training will be provided)
