The position is responsible for providing technical support in the creation, development, improvement, and modification of standards, guidelines, and procedures on the planning, design, installation, maintenance & operation of Aboitiz Power Distribution Utilities transmission and distribution lines.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Governance & Standards
- Ensures correct and up-to-date technical data specifications and requirements by referencing current industry standards and practices to ensure system compatibility, safety, and reliability.
- Conducts regular audits to check the accuracy and relevance of existing governance documents in order to identify outdated or incorrect information.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standards such as construction standards, equipment standards, etc.
- Research & Development
- Identifies areas for improvement by reviewing current practices and comparing them against industry standards relevant to the organization's initiatives to help streamline processes.
- Provides support in the implementation of the organization's initiatives to ensure system compatibility, safety, and reliability.
- Assess the impact of new technologies on standards and identify the need for new ones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Electrical Engineer
- 0 to 2 years of experience
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other engineering tools/software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct audits and data validation.
- Good communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
