Job Description

Role Overview:

The Junior Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization's IT systems. The role ensures that servers, networks, and user devices run efficiently and securely, providing timely technical support to internal employees and assisting in system improvements and documentation. (Work Setup: Full On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

System & Network Maintenance

  • Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Support routine system checks, backups, and patch management.
  • Help configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals for employees.

Technical Support

  • Provide Level 12 support for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to IT tickets within the defined SLA.
  • Assist users with account setup, access rights, and password resets.

Security & Compliance

  • Support implementation of security policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in antivirus updates, endpoint security checks, and other cybersecurity tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and IT security standards.

Documentation & Inventory

  • Maintain records of system configurations, licenses, and IT assets.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, processes, and resolutions.
  • Help update IT knowledge base and SOPs.

System Improvements

  • Recommend improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or deployments.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2-3 years experience in IT support, system administration, or related roles.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may apply.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux/MacOS administration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience with Active Directory, O365/Google Workspace, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of security principles and endpoint protection tools.
