Junior Software Engineer (API Integrations)

We're looking for a Junior Integration Engineer who will support in building and maintaining API integrations for the client's mobile application, focusing on OTP, KYC, payment gateway/wallet, and geofencing functionality under senior guidance.

Responsibilities

• API integration support: implement assigned OTP, KYC, payment/wallet, and geofencing modules.
• API maintenance: perform assigned bug fixes, minor updates, and configuration changes.
• Monitoring and testing: review logs, report anomalies, run tests, and reproduce issues.
• Review/documentation: submit code, apply feedback, maintain assigned docs, runbooks, and handover notes.
• Escalation coverage: maintain APIs during engineer absences, following handover notes.
• Data handling: follow team practices when handling PII and payment data.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years application development experience with React and Java; recent graduates welcome.
• Basic knowledge of databases and REST APIs.
• Internship or project experience integrating third-party OTP, KYC, payment gateway, or geofencing APIs.

• Familiarity with version control and code review practices.
• Interest in regulated industries such as gaming, fintech, or banking.
• Willingness to learn and work under senior engineers guidance.
• Willingness to work onsite in Makati.
