Junior Software Developer (Python / AWS)

RareFind Recruitment is partnering with a US-based client to hire a Junior Software Developer for a long-term, fully remote engagement. This role is open to candidates authorized to work in the Philippines and comfortable working US Central Time hours.

• Independent Contractor Set Up
• 100% Remote | Philippines-based | US Client
• Night Shift - 9:00 PM 6:00 AM (PH standard time)
• Competitive Philippines market rates. Will be paid in pesos, based on experience and skill set
• Target Start Date: FebruaryMarch 2026

You'll work directly with a global engineering team building modern, cloud-native systems using Python and AWS with real ownership and real impact from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs
• Support ETL workflows and data pipelines on AWS
• Work with services like S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
• Assist in monitoring, debugging, and improving production systems
• Collaborate closely with senior developers, data engineers, and stakeholders
• Follow best practices in testing, security, and deployment

What We're Looking For

• 13 years of experience in software development
• Solid foundation in Python (3.x)
• Exposure to backend frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
• Hands-on or project-based experience with AWS
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and basic CI/CD concepts
• Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely

Nice to Have

• Docker or container basics
• SQL and basic data modeling
• Exposure to ETL tools, Airflow, or data pipelines
