Junior QA Tester

The Junior QA Tester is an integral part of our software team. This role will focus on providing quality assessment of requirements and analysis of web-based systems. Our workflow management systems are centered around providing the most intuitive solutions for the legal industry.
Responsibilities
- Review business, functional and technical requirements to form test scenarios and cases.
- Aid in estimation, prioritizing, planning, and coordination of testing activities.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test scenarios and cases
- Perform regression testing and pre- production validations.
- Find defects within applications and enter them into an issue tracking system with detailed steps to replicate the issue.
- Clear and decisive descriptions on our documentation and reporting.
- Review new or modified applications, including documentation, diagrams, and flow charts, to determine if the application will perform according to business requirements.
- Document the appropriate information for the full life cycle of items tested.
- Work with software developers and engineers to ensure quality concurrent releases.
- Clear communication with ability to implement process improvements using available technology solutions.
- Collaborate with customer experience and operations to learn domain terminology.
- Work with product and UI/UX teams to understand business requirements and aid in the early stages of product creation.
- Assist with stakeholder's User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Monitoring and maintaining test environments.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle (SDLC & STLC)
- Bonus if familiar with Salesforce, QuickBooks, and/or other third-party services
- Knowledgeable with different testing Methodologies - System Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, etc.
- Ability to collaborate across teams to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work with minimal supervision, and work under pressure
- Strong oral presentation and written communication skills required
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills required
- Strong attention to detail required
- Must be comfortable with continuous change and be able to easily adapt
- Proficient in both manual and automated testing
- Experience using testing tools
- Proficient in status reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis
