Junior Property Accountant

We are hiring a Junior Property Accountant. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build their accounting career, supporting day-to-day financial operations using Yardi across a diverse property portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time using Yardi Elevate
• Maintain accurate property financial records, ledgers, and tenant accounts
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and budget comparisons
• Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Monitor lease payments, vendor invoices, and tenant billing

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Yardi.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and real estate financial reporting standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills for working with property managers, vendors, and internal teams
• Willingness to work onsite and on a fixed night shift.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Yardi or other real estate-specific accounting platforms
• Familiarity with real estate accounting workflows and bank reconciliations at scale
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
