- Provides technical advice and guidance on process-engineering related matters to internal and external stakeholders.
THE ROLE
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous and timely support to Site Operations at Prime Energy facilities and to other internal and external stakeholders, with regards to process engineering and product quality issues and concerns, including coordination with external specialists to conduct studies that may be required to support Process Engineering deliverables, and performing technical / operational surveillance utilizing the Prime Energy operating envelopes.
- Provide process engineering input to and support execution of Major and Minor Modification Projects (Brownfield and Greenfield), requests for MoC's and Deferrals, and Continuous Improvement initiatives, ensuring that concepts are rigorously challenged, technical standards are met, environmental limits are complied with, and asset integrity is maintained.
- Perform duties as Contract Holder for Prime Energy contracts for Integrated Laboratory Services; including definition of work scope and technical requirements, end-to-end management of the contract including compliance with HSSE requirements, assurance that spend against ACV and budget are as per plan, and coordination with different business stakeholders who will be using the contract in order to control usage versus plan.
- Propose the use of innovative engineering technologies, identify and own production optimization opportunities, and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce unit operating costs.
- Build process engineering competencies in order to attain TA3 status.
- Foster and maintain healthy working relationships of Process Engineering team with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a culture of authenticity, cooperation and mutual growth.
Special Challenges/Complexity Unique to the Job:
- Process Engineering team needs to balance two-fold main responsibilities:
- Provide process engineering Frontline Operations Support from well-bore to point of sale, and
- Provide process engineering technical expertise in terms of input and assurance of brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Complex offshore and onshore production facilities, most of which are aging (> 20 years).
- Management of multiple interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations, Engineering & Projects, Production Services, Development & Exploration, Commercial, HSSE, Finance and Supply Chain teams, service and design contractors, consultants, partners and customers.
