We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter with strong 3D design experience to support engineering projects focused on industrial and water treatment systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on complex mechanical assemblies, technical documentation, and collaborative engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D mechanical designs and construction documentation using CAD software
- Develop detailed drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and fabrication documentation
- Run FEA simulations on parts when required
- Collaborate with Production, Testing, Purchasing, and Field teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues
- Support Applications Engineering with proposal generation
- Assist in preparing operating manuals and technical documentation
- Ensure designs meet customer specifications, project budgets, and timelines
- Participate in technical discussions and engineering coordination meetings
- Conduct site or production support activities when needed to verify designs and documentation
- Coordinate engineering changes and maintain accurate project documentation
- Help improve tools and processes to increase engineering efficiency
- Develop designs with focus on serviceability, manufacturability, and efficiency
What We're Looking For:
- Technologist diploma or related certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience using SolidWorks, Inventor, or other 3D CAD software
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical drafting or design experience
- Experience in water treatment, industrial systems, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- 3D assemblies and models
- BOM generation
- Mechanical assembly techniques
- Fabrication processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
