We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time
Logistics Coordinator - Entry Level. As a
Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for various tasks.
What You'll Be Doing (Entry-Level)
Shipment Coordination & Scheduling
- Assisting with the coordination and scheduling of inbound shipments.
- Helping track shipments from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Supporting the selection of transportation methods (air, sea, road, rail) based on guidance from team members.
Documentation Support
- Helping prepare and organize basic import documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists).
- Learning how to ensure documents are accurate and complete.
- Assisting with document filing and sharing with relevant teams or partners.
Compliance Assistance
- Supporting the team in learning and following customs and import regulations.
- Assisting with the gathering of documents for customs brokers and internal use.
- Learning about the customs clearance process and helping resolve minor issues under supervision.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Support
- Helping document processes and update internal SOPs as directed.
- Participating in improving team workflows through feedback and collaboration.
Supplier & Vendor Communication
- Communicating with suppliers via email or phone to confirm shipment details.
- Reporting shipment status and updates to internal teams.
- Helping resolve fundamental shipment discrepancies with guidance.
Cost Awareness & Optimization Support
- Assisting in gathering quotes and rate comparisons for shipments.
- Supporting the tracking and logging of shipping-related expenses.
Problem-Solving & Risk Support
- Reporting delays or issues to senior staff.
- Assisting in documenting and tracking shipping challenges.
- Learning how to support contingency planning and problem resolution.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Must be a Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration graduate or other relevant course.
- Must know Incoterms.
- Experience handling import and export shipment processes is required.
- Knowledge or experience with shipping processes and documentation is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new processes.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially in a remote environment.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using Windows-based desktop software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, email platforms).
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Interest in learning about data entry, document processing, and logistics.
- Willingness to make professional phone calls and communicate with clients or service providers as needed.
- Exposure to or interest in learning tools like Magaya or CargoWise is advantageous.
- Familiarity or exposure with pricing workflows, including quotations and sales markups, is a plus.
