We are looking for a Finance Team Leader to oversee accounting operations, reporting, and team performance supporting several Canadian schools within a global education network. Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting and General Ledger
- Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including A/R, A/P, and revenue recognition.
- Document financial transactions and ensure correct posting to the general ledger.
- Maintain lease schedules and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Cash Flow and Bank Management
- Perform daily bank transaction entries and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow and ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Account Reconciliation and Intercompany Alignment
- Reconcile accounts such as revenue, bank, intercompany balances, and other key accounts.
- Ensure monthly reconciliations are completed, reviewed, and necessary adjustments recorded.
- Align intercompany balances within the group to support consolidated financial statements.
Month-End, Year-End, and Audit Support
- Prepare and entering all necessary month-end and year-end journal entries.
- Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and providing timely responses to audit queries.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.).
- Produce Finance Reporting Packages and ad hoc reports as requested.
- Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and support decision-making.
Global Collaboration
- Assist the General Accountant in Toronto with general accounting and reporting tasks.
- Support data requests and compliance needs from Toronto and London finance teams.
- Ensure financial processes are aligned with group-wide policies and best practices.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team to achieve performance goals and service standards
- Influence team engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and performance conversations
- Support career development plans, capability building, and succession readiness
- Help team members grow through coaching, mentorship, and stretch opportunities
- Drive collaboration and positive working relationships across teams
What We Are Looking For
- Must be a Bachelors degree holder of Finance or Accounting, or any relevant field.
- Prior leadership experience managing accounting teams
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting - accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Good knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Ambitious mindset with interest in growing within a global organization
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and develop people

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid arrangement of once a week in the office after passing 3rd month performance review.
- Work Schedule 3:00PM to 12:00AM, weekends off
- Work Location: Robinsons Zeta Tower, Bridgetowne, Ugong North, Quezon City.
- Area is beside Opus Mall, across IPI Pasig and Tiendesitas. Office is accessible from Ortigas CBD, Eastwood, C5 road, and Rizal areas.
