The Junior Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily financial transactions, assisting with month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Operations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor cash receipts and payments
- Assist in managing petty cash and employee reimbursements
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare schedules and reports for management review
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
Compliance & Tax
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal financial controls
- Maintain proper filing of accounting and tax documents
- Support external and internal audit requirements by preparing requested documentation
Accounts Receivable & Payables
- Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile customer and supplier statements
General Support
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support process improvement initiatives within the Finance department
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related matters
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field. Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 2 years of relevant experience is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
