Job Description

The Junior Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily financial transactions, assisting with month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Financial Operations

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor cash receipts and payments
  • Assist in managing petty cash and employee reimbursements

Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare schedules and reports for management review
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies

Compliance & Tax

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal financial controls
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting and tax documents
  • Support external and internal audit requirements by preparing requested documentation

Accounts Receivable & Payables

  • Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Reconcile customer and supplier statements

General Support

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Finance department
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related matters
  • Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field. Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 2 years of relevant experience is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
