Overview:
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and analysts to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis, helping the team turn raw data into valuable business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Support data integration from various sources (APIs, databases, files)
- Help develop and optimize data models and data warehouses
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs
- Monitor data quality and help resolve data issues
- Maintain documentation for data processes and workflows
Required Experience & Skills:
- 02 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field (internships or academic projects welcome)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) is a plus
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration basics
- Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to dbt, Airflow, or similar data tools is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
