Job Summary
The Junior Civil Engineer will support the research, development, testing, and practical application of eco-bricks and other recycled construction materials in infrastructure and building projects. This role plays a key part in promoting sustainable construction practices by ensuring that alternative materials meet required engineering standards and are effectively integrated into real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Testing & Quality Assurance
- Assist in conducting laboratory and field tests on eco-bricks and recycled construction materials (e.g., compressive strength, water absorption, durability, load-bearing capacity).
- Document and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
- Support quality control processes to ensure materials meet project and regulatory standards.
2. Project Support & Implementation
- Assist in the integration and application of eco-bricks in construction and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and project managers to ensure proper usage and installation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor implementation and address technical concerns.
3. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all materials and applications comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
- Assist in preparing documentation required for approvals, certifications, and audits.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and sustainable construction guidelines.
4. Research & Development (R&D)
- Participate in the development and improvement of eco-bricks and alternative construction materials.
- Support experimentation with new formulations, materials, and production techniques.
- Contribute ideas and insights for innovation in sustainable construction solutions.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and project documentation.
- Maintain organized records of testing data, project applications, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in creating manuals, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for eco-brick usage.
6. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and sustainability teams.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- Support training or orientation of teams on proper use of eco-bricks when needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required
- Knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and engineering standards
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices or green building concepts is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus
Working Conditions
