The Role
We're looking for a Junior Automation & AI Developer to join our Philippines team. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be building and maintaining the systems that make Digital Pie (and our clients) operate more efficiently.
You'll work across our core platforms — Zoho CRM, Zoho Flow, and WordPress — designing automations, connecting APIs, and helping us roll out AI-powered workflows. This is a junior role, but there's real scope to grow quickly as we expand our AI and automation service offering.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining automation workflows in Zoho Flow (triggers, actions, custom functions)
- Configuring and customising Zoho CRM — modules, fields, workflows, and integrations
- Developing and maintaining API connections between Zoho and WordPress-based websites
- Writing custom functions and scripts to extend platform capabilities (Deluge, JS, or REST APIs)
- Troubleshooting integration issues and keeping automations running reliably
- Supporting the rollout of AI-assisted tools and workflows across internal and client projects
- Documenting what you build so the team can maintain and extend it
What We're Looking For
- Some experience or coursework in web development, software development, or IT systems
- Familiarity with APIs — REST, JSON, webhooks — even if it's from personal projects or study
- An interest in automation tools and platforms (Zoho, Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar)
- Comfortable working with WordPress at more than a surface level
- Curious about AI and how it can be applied practically in a business context
- Good communicator — you'll work closely with the NZ team remotely
- Self-directed — you can take a brief and figure out the steps
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Flow or Zoho CRM specifically
- Experience with the WordPress REST API or WooCommerce
- Exposure to Deluge scripting (Zoho's custom function language)
- Any experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, or LLM integrations
