About The Role
As a Junior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible on the preparation of regulatory reports and other internal reports for management use. Acts as an alternate to the Section Head in overseeing the operations of the team, assists in the review of various reports, and serves as a pool within the team. Also, you will conduct user acceptance testing of assigned projects and perform maintenance of some of the systems.
How you'll contribute
- Acts as an officer-in-charge (OIC) whenever the Section Head is not available and/or pool in preparing the reports of any of the team members
- Manages COA Update which includes parameter update and maintenance in EQ, GL Derivation System and in Oracle EDMCS module
- Prepares regulatory and internal reports accurately and ensures submission within the given deadline
- Prepares the reconciliation of handled accounts such as General Loan Loss Provision, Allowance for Probable Loss and FX Position. Ensures that all float items are adjusted within the allowable number of float days and long outstanding items are elevated to Senior Accounting Officer /BSP Reports Team Lead accordingly
- Prepares adjustments and entries to be posted in FRP, FBEQ and Oracle ERP
- Prepare documentation and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) of assigned projects
- Prepares / update manuals and Service Level Agreement (SLA) of handled processes
- Ensure compliance to internal controls and the bank's policies and procedures in processing reports to mitigate risks
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
What we're looking for
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, preferrably a CPA
- With at least 4- 5 years of experience in Audit/regulatory reporting, particulary with BSP Reporting
- Has good leadership and project management skills
- Has good English communication skills, is attentive to details, flexible and quick learner
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
