Dingo Offshore ICT Inc. is looking for passionate, detail oriented and reliable temporary Junior Accountant to provide support to our finance/accounting department during a busy period/project to ensure efficient operation and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition to achieve the company goal.
The Junior Accountant temporary role involves providing essential support for daily accounting operations to ensure accurate recording and processing of financial transactions mainly on receivables and payables, assisting with month-end close activities, and working closely with our different hotel and restaurant teams. You will also be cross trained with other areas in the accounting/finance department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, process and post incoming payments.
- Ensure all documentation is collected and the appropriate data is posted to the company's accounting and filing systems.
- Resolve billing questions and concerns using internal and external resources.
- Reconcile invoice and payments.
- Verify and ensure accuracy of data prior to invoicing guests, agents and/or owners.
- Provide periodic reports and updates on delinquent accounts, contingent liabilities, and payables and receivables aging.
Essential Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 1 year of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience.
- Excellent skills with MS Office programs including Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Knowledge in NetSuite or any other major accounting software.
- Strong mathematical skills, time management and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate critical thinking to identify potential solutions or new approaches for current operating procedures
- Provide recommendations for business continuity to achieve financial goals
- Strong background in latest accounting principles and business practices
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor / College Degree preferably in Finance / Accounting course or equivalent.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role
- Strong understanding of general ledger and reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills as this role requires a high degree of interaction with employees, top management and at all levels in the organization.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to show initiative and take responsibility
- Excellent analytical thinking and high attention to detail
