JOB SCOPE:
The Junior Accountant supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The role focuses on bookkeeping, reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting to support overall business operations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record and process daily financial transactions (e.g., invoices, receipts, journal entries) accurately in the accounting books.
- Assist in accounts payable and receivable functions, including billing, collections follow-up, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documents and schedules for financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and closing activities.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Monitor and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external parties (e.g., vendors, auditors) when needed.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation and schedules of assigned accounts.
- Other accounting works as needed to support the Finance team
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in accounting, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize work with excellent time management skills
- Attentive to details, well organized, strong analytical mind, a great initiative with less supervision
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and positive thinking with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Knowledgeable in Accounting Systems
- Knowledgeable in Government Statutory Payments
- Experience in filing BIR Tax Returns and Reports
- Can work independently with little supervision
