Jr. WESM Trader

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for validating and processing customer nominations (Month-Ahead, Week-Ahead, and Day-Ahead) and submitting Bilateral Contract Quantity (BCQ) Declarations to the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), while analyzing data for optimal allocation of traded power quantities to maximize company income. Manages BCQ to ensure all contract provisions are met and collaborates closely with trading and billing team to validate the completeness and accuracy of all necessary data, including preliminary and final WESM settlement data. Evaluates and checks all customer nominations for use by the Trading Team in their Day-Ahead dispatch schedules and1 manages WESM compliance through coordination with the trading team, plant personnel, and timely submission of reports to the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) Enforcement to ensure all plants maintain full regulatory compliance.

Job Specifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Economics, Finance.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• With experience in the power industry is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in WESM operations, trading optimization and power plant processes.
• Willing to be on shifting schedules
