Overview
This position will be part of our PH Operations Technology Support Team to provide software development design support for various cloud systems. The developer will work with rest and stream APIs to design and troubleshoot cloud systems that rely on these systems. The developer will play a key role in supporting scripting and programming efforts throughout the organization and maintaining the production codebase. They will also be required to update pages and maintain security for our WordPress websites with executive guidance.
This position will report to Head of Operations Support & Engagement and the Director of Technology.
This is a hybrid position, with most of the time spent working from home but with office attendance from time to time, as needed.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure cloud-based programming environments are kept up to date.
- Ensure security of and continuously monitor and maintain custom scripts or applications.
- Perform webmaster duties for ARI website based on requests from management.
- Design and create custom webpages, platforms, programs or scripts to assist IT/OT efforts.
- Design and create custom webpages, platforms, programs or scripts to enhance corporate workflows.
- Utilize various APIs to deliver data into SQL or other data platforms for end-user consumption.
- Create documentation for all custom scripts, programs, platforms, and processes.
- Keep corporate codebase up to date and operational.
- Provide prompt support on technical concerns (access requests, device issues, program installation, etc.).
- Collaborate with other teams on cross-departmental projects to streamline company processes and platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
- 1-2 years software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of the CI/CD process
- Experience with various programming languages (C, C++, and Rust)
- Experience with various scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, PHP, JS, and Python)
- Experience with HTML/XML, web development, and supporting WordPress sites
- Experience with Linux
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub
- Familiarity with general application security frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required
