Job Description

Network Administrator

The Network Administrator is responsible for delivering end-to-end network administration services, including the configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of all network-related systems, equipment, and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, control, troubleshoot, and maintain all network equipment and infrastructure.

  • Administer and maintain firewalls such as WatchGuard M4600, including IPLC, VLAN segmentation, and routing configurations.

  • Manage core, distribution, and access switches, including Ruijie and other enterprise-grade network switches.

  • Configure and maintain wireless access points, including Cambium and Ubiquiti Unifi Controller.

  • Manage Air Fiber, point-to-point, and multi-point wireless connections for terminal operations.

  • Administer cloud PBX and telephony systems; coordinate with ATI/PLDT for issues, upgrades, and escalations.

  • Maintain and support PA/BGM systems such as WavHub.

  • Administer and support CCTV systems and related network infrastructure.

  • Maintain WAN/LAN connections including FOC, SFP, SC, LC, ST, FC, CAT6, and CAT5e cabling.

  • Liaise with Internet Service Providers (PLDT, Globe, Philcom, Rise, Converge) for fault resolution and service coordination.

  • Maintain Data Center and auxiliary rooms, ensuring all network peripherals are operational (IDF cabinets, switches, UPS, PDU).

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot door access control systems.

  • Coordinate with vendors for network equipment procurement, maintenance, and support.

  • Maintain and update network hardware inventory using SNIPE.

  • Monitor network performance using tools such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, and Cacti.

  • Assist IT personnel on network-related projects for systems and technical support.

  • Provide event and tenant network setup, including minor cabling works (no rough-ins).

  • Create, update, and enforce policies and procedures related to network administration.

  • Monitor expiring hardware licenses and network services.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all network equipment.

  • Ensure 24/7 availability of inter-connectivity for all hardware components.

  • Install, configure, and update routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and other related devices.

  • Apply knowledge of Layer 2 switching (switch stacks, Virtual Switching Systems).

  • Apply knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and HSRP.

  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability at all times.

  • Adhere to government Concession Agreement requirements and KPIs.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • Fresh graduates are highly preferred and are encouraged to apply.

  • Open to candidates with entry-level to intermediate experience in network administration.

  • Must have basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems (e.g., cabling, power systems, grounding, and basic troubleshooting).

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and routing protocols.

  • Willing to work night shift and render overtime when required.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Willing to work onsite and support 24/7 operations if needed.
