Jr. Linux Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Linux Engineer to join our IT team in Parañaque, Philippines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux systems and a passion for supporting and maintaining infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
• Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues
• Perform routine system updates, patching, and security hardening
• Support user access management and permissions
• Work with senior engineers on system improvements and automation tasks
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• At least 1–2 years of experience working with Linux systems
• Familiarity with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
• Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, TCP/IP)
• Experience or exposure to scripting (Bash, Python) is a plus
• Understanding of virtualization or cloud platforms is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
