Jnr Data Scientist in the Marketing Industry

route1.io are recruiting for a Jnr Data Scientist to join our team. This position will aid with data integration and analysis projects that inform marketing decisions for our global clients.

Primary tasks will include:

• development & maintenance of our data integration & reporting processes
• structuring of data for analysis projects
• collaboration with the project leads to develop analysis & insights

Skills Required

We are an applied marketing analytics partner to our clients. We focus on applying analytics to empower them to maximize the return from their marketing investments. The ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset or the ability to think about how data and insights can help our clients make better decisions.

Strong project and task management skills and the ability to communicate well with team members are required for the role.

A background in data science is required, with a strong history working with paid media marketing sources, as well as familiarity with the following systems:

• Digital Marketing: Strong familiarity with digital marketing platforms (Google AdWords, SearchAds360, DCM, Meta Ads), and offline advertising (TV & VOD, OOH, Radio) is required.
• Analytic tools: Strong experience in R is required and familiarity with other languages (primarily Python) is a plus.
• Business Tools: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with PowerPoint for rapid analysis and presentations is a plus.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Working knowledge of AWS S3/EC2 is considered a plus.
• Programming Practices: Experience with Git and collaborative coding workflows is required.

The ideal candidate will have worked at a media agency or similar for 1-4 years in a data-intense role, and is looking to focus on applying their skills to interesting business questions.
