About the project
The Jira Administrator will lead the setup, configuration, and administration of Jira hosted in GCP, supporting a planned migration from Asana and/or Accello. The role includes integrating Jira with GitLab and Google Workspace, managing security and access controls, and providing ongoing maintenance and support.
What you will be doing
- Setting up and installing Jira on GCP to ensure operational readiness.
- Managing the migration process from Asana and Accello to Jira, ensuring data integrity and continuity.
- Integrating Jira with GitLab and Google services to facilitate seamless workflow integration.
- Managing security settings, updating permissions, and ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Providing technical support to users and addressing any issues related to ticket management and system performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align Jira functionalities with business needs.
- Performing regular system maintenance and updates to ensure Jira's optimal performance.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in administering Jira with a strong technical support background.
- Expertise in managing and updating security permissions.
- Proficient in integrating Jira with GitLab and other collaborative tools.
- Strong experience in ticket management and maintaining technical documentation.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience with Asana, Accello, or similar project management tools.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of GitLab and its integration with project management tools.
- Industry certifications in project management or cloud services are advantageous.
