Job Title: Java Developer
Location: BGC Taguig, Philippines (Onsite)
Role Overview
The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications that support mission‑critical operations across retail, supply chain, and financial systems. This role involves building scalable solutions, integrating with modern platforms, and ensuring system reliability within a fast‑paced enterprise IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using Java, Spring, and related frameworks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable solutions.
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrations with enterprise systems.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards.
- Support production systems and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and system changes.
- Participate in modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and microservices adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful services.
- Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server).
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/onsite setup in BGC, Taguig.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in retail, banking, or supply chain systems.
- Agile/Scrum methodology participation.
