Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Join forces with a team of Developers, Quality Assurance and Business Analysts to collaboratively deliver a reliable product through sound design, careful development and rigorous testing

Write and review well designed, testable, Java code

Work with Java/Spring boot framework, Swing technologies used by the product

Investigate and resolve design issues and code errors

Collaborate with fellow team members to enhance our software development processes

Required Proficiency Level

• Experience working with Java applications, 3 years minimum
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/Postgres)
• Experience developing with any of the following technologies is an asset:

Spring Framework

Swing UI

XML/XSLT

Working knowledge

• Communication skills (including verbal, written)
• Quick learner, willing to take on the challenges of a large codebase
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and embrace change
• Team player who can collaborate with colleagues
• AI assisted code development (RooCode, Cline)
