Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong backend or full-stack development expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and relational databases, along with a strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend and full-stack applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain applications using Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures and scalable distributed systems.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain secure and high-performing REST APIs.
- Apply software design patterns, clean coding principles, and best practices to deliver maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Design and optimize relational databases, including schema design, queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Work with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent relational database technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, integration, and production issues.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and architectural decisions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, system modernization, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to applications, APIs, architecture, and development processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java 17/21.
- Expert-level experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem, particularly:
- Spring MVC
- Spring Data JPA
- Spring Security
- Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and distributed systems.
- Strong SQL skills, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent relational databases.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale or enterprise application environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
