About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Java Developer with proficiency in Japanese (JLPT Level N1N5) to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects while leveraging both your technical expertise and Japanese language skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and systems.
- Collaborate with Japanese and local teams to gather requirements, translate specifications, and ensure project alignment.
- Debug and resolve application issues, ensuring high performance and quality.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Prepare and maintain documentation in English and/or Japanese.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in Java development (minimum 23 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.), and REST APIs.
- Good knowledge of databases (MySQL, Oracle, or similar).
- Japanese language proficiency: JLPT Level N1N5 (must be able to read, write, or communicate depending on project requirements).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Prior experience working with Japanese clients or multinational teams.
