Work Policy

The IT Security Technician position is 100% remote. We want you to be comfortable and happy, please work from wherever you'd like. Currently, the position has fixed working hours, in which the IT Security Technician is expected to be available and responsive. However, working hours are somewhat flexible. Employees must be aware of their environment to prevent data exfiltration (via cameras, bystanders, insecure networks, etc). This position includes opportunities for equity compensation, allowing employees to participate in the company's long-term growth and success. 

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician with strong Linux administration capabilities and an interest in security operations. This role combines traditional IT support with security monitoring responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Linux system administration and maintenance

- Windows system administration and maintenance

- Execute the vulnerability management (VM) plan & improve VM maturity

Primary Responsibilities

- Cloud administration (Azure and AWS)

- User account management and access control

- System hardening and security patch management

- Documentation of procedures and incidents

- Technical support for staff members

- Office 365 administration

- Google Workspace administration

Secondary Responsibilities

- Security monitoring and incident response

- Network monitoring and troubleshooting

Required Skills

- Strong English proficiency

- 4+ years of Linux administration experience

- Strong command-line proficiency

- Experience with security tools and monitoring systems

- Knowledge of networking protocols and security concepts

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication abilities

Compensation

IT Security Technician: $800 - $1,200 per month

The salary we offer for each candidate will be determined by an assessment of the candidate's overall qualifications for the job. 

Metric: Technical Skill, Professional Experience, and English Proficiency.

Important Note: We will not be hiring anyone who receives an assessment score of low in English Proficiency.
