Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Internal IT Systems & Automation Specialist to manage, maintain, and continuously improve our organization's internal IT infrastructure and business systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of internal technology platforms while identifying opportunities to automate processes and digitize business workflows.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day IT support to internal users, administer core business applications, implement system improvements, and collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline operations through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal IT Systems Management

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize the organization's internal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user devices.
  • Administer business applications, user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing improvements where required.
  • Coordinate software updates, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection requirements.

Business Process Automation & Digital Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and implement workflow automation solutions using appropriate technologies and platforms.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective digital solutions.
  • Integrate internal systems to improve data flow, reporting, and business productivity.
  • Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Internal IT Support

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for employees across hardware, software, networking, and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Deliver user training and promote best practices for technology usage.

Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance business performance.
  • Analyze system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in planning and implementing IT projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and software licensing records.
  • Work closely with management to align IT initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in internal IT administration, systems support, or IT infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and cloud platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing workflow automation using platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar automation tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, or SQL is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, backup strategies, and IT governance.
